Hotel Colentum is placed in a cove of Slanica in the island of Murter, with a beautiful view to the Kornati archipelago. The island of Murter is in the north part of Sibeniks archipelago and it is the biggest inhabited island. There are four villages in the island, Murter and Jezera older ones, inhabited in XII ct, and Tisno and Betina younger ones, inhabited in XVI ct. The inhabitants of Murter are mainly farmers, ranchers and fishermen, but beside traditional, there are also tourist economy and craftsmanship.

Hotel has 255 beds in 78 rooms and has a very attractive beach. Near it there are roman ruins of the village, and the hotel was named after it.
